On 5th June 2018 St. Kizito Hospital-Matany Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement committee organised a staff training on quality assurance and quality improvement. The objective of the workshop was to train staff on selected quality assurance and quality improvement topics so as to strengthen and improve the standard of service provided to patients. In total, 21 members of staff were trained. The venue was the Hospital’s teaching centre.
A wide range of topics were discussed which included: principle of 5s, continuous quality improvement, focusing service on the client needs, positive attitude and infection control measures. Members resolved to have three quality improvement projects to be implemented over a period of four months after which the committee will conduct an assessment
